A bio photo of Rose Ayala, who is a project developer at TimberHomes Vermont

Rose was born and raised in the forests of the Sierra Nevadas, where she developed an ardent adoration for the beauty of nature, the joys of creativity, and the expansive bliss of music.

As the daughter of a general contractor, construction was a constant thread in her upbringing. Rose spent much of her childhood around job sites, often found chisleing boulders into woodland beasts, daydreaming while 20 feet up in a nearby tree, or running errands to grab specific tools from the tool chest. Her first job was as a laborer for her father’s business, Ayala Builders, where she dug trenches, helped build decks, and gained an early appreciation for hard physical work.

After high school, Rose took a gap year and WWOOFed all around Ireland. She studied Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (IL) and later attended Ananda College for Living Wisdom (OR), where she studied alternative energies & building modalities, community governance, and inspirational arts.

Today, Rose works as a Project Manager and Project Designer at TimberHomes, where she supports projects through all stages of design and construction. Her work includes estimating projects and builds, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, communicating with current and prospective clients, and helping ensure crews have what they need throughout the building process. She enjoys the collaborative nature of construction and values being part of a team that brings meaningful spaces to life. In her spare time she can be found doing home improvement projects and garden work at home, or searching for musicians to play music with on the weekends.
