In June 2026, the Lempster Long Pond Protective Association in Lempster, New Hampshire, purchased and installed a Classic Kiosk. The LLPPA is a group of volunteers who monitor water quality and manage recreation on the pond. In coordinator Stephen Zakur’s own words, “The town maintains a boat launch and beach on the pond. There was an existing information kiosk at the boat launch where both LLPPA and state agencies posted information on various regulations. The existing kiosk was at least forty years old and in desperate need of replacement. Private funding was raised to pay for the replacement and volunteers installed it.”
