Neighbors, friends, and family joined forces to raise the town’s new timber frame pavilion.
On a weekend in late July, the town of Cornwall came together with a small crew of TimberHomes workers, a positive attitude, and plenty of determination to raise the town’s new pavilion. Neighbors passed timbers from hand to hand, secured joinery, and helped guide each bent into place.

Every beam that went up was a testament to the countless hours of planning and craftsmanship that made the project possible. What began as a promising day quickly turned into a test of perseverance as dark clouds rolled in and rain poured down, accompanied by rumbles of thunder overhead. Rather than calling it quits, volunteers pulled on what rain gear they had, took shelter when necessary, and got right back to work.

As the afternoon wore on, the thick storm clouds blocked nearly all of the early evening light. In a true display of community support, the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department arrived and generously illuminated the worksite with the lights from one of their fire trucks, allowing the crew and volunteers to safely finish what they had started. It was a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the spirit of the day—everyone finding a way to help.
