Originally hailing from Arlington, VA, Annie took the long way to the Upper Valley, with stints in New York City, the mountains of Colorado, and the North Shore of Boston. In these places, she taught middle school science, coached sports teams, and even took up residence in the middle school principal’s office for a few years. After 20 years in education, it was time to shake up life a little bit and move with her partner, Sarah, to a little lakefront log cabin in Canaan, NH.
Having previously only dabbled in carpentry, she’s found it refreshing to settle into the learner’s seat for a change. When she’s not project managing or chopping boards on site, you’ll find her outside hiking, mountain biking, uphill skiing, sailing, or relaxing around a campfire with friends. She dreams of returning to her work with rural communities in Zimbabwe and Zambia, plotting interesting tours of the U.S. with a teardrop trailer in tow, and, when the bank account allows it, knocking off some of her international travel bucket list.
