Kiosks Across the Country

December 8, 2017

With the end of the calendar year, TimberHomes, like many companies, takes the opportunity to review its activities. While we’re not designing or cutting timber frames, were working on on our product line of trailhead kiosks and other outdoor structures. Once again, the year has been fruitful with sales of close to 50 kiosks, a handful of pavilions, a few picnic shelters and even some new boulder benches.

Here is a map showing the locations in the Northeast where TimberHomes sold kiosks and outdoor structures. Being close to the home base in central Vermont, the Northeast is TimberHomes’s bread and butter market because it’s easy to either have customers pick up the units themselves or to have TimberHomes make the deliveries.

While each dot represents a sale of a kiosk or an outdoor product. It’s often the case that the location signifies a multiple unit sale. This year was highlighted by a couple of large orders. The Nature Conservancy in Mount Kisco, NY, the city of Winooski, VT, and the Vernon Hills (Park District), IL, lead the pack with the size of their contracts. A heartfelt thanks to all of our customers!

The TimberHomes Classic and Mini  Kiosks are far and away the best selling products. Thanks to the often low shipping costs from common carriers such as FedEx or LandAir Express, TimberHomes has been successfully shipping trailhead/information kiosks across the country. This year’s farthest order came from Longmont, CO, to which, the cost of shipping a Classic Kiosk was only $375. That’s almost 2000 miles away from TimberHomes’s home base in Vershire, VT! Thank you, Longmont!
