Cabin Living Magazine recently got in touch to ask about featuring a cabin we built in 2012 in their ‘off-grid’ living section. This cabin in central New Hampshire sits on a stunning site, and is surrounded by conservation land. We raised the frame and spent the following four weeks working on-site to dry it in. Our client took it from there, doing the siding and trim work himself, until the following Spring when we returned to build a space-saving (and truly stunning) spiral staircase. The cabin is now equipped with electric panels and a solar hot water system, making it a fully functional living space, and an off-grid cabin that he can leave stress-free in the middle of winter.
We’re happy to see Cabin Living Magazine featuring off-grid cabins! They have feature stories on a number of neat, modest living spaces including floor plans and insight into the construction processes.
