Our most recent pavilion raising took place a week ago as Spring dawned on Central Vermont. People’s Academy, the public school in north/central Vermont serving students from Elmore and Morrisville, hired TimberHomes to construct and raise a single bay Flared Pavilion. The pavilion features traditional mortise and tenon joinery, and is nestled in between the school’s planetarium and pollinator garden. Our work included cutting and raising the timber frame structure, and decking it with pine roof boards. The school took care of all site preparation, and will finish the roof themselves.
The Flared Pavilion is one of our standard pavilion models, and can be extended depending on need. It’s been used as a shelter for a backyard pizza over, outdoor classroom space, campground shelter, and picnic area. Check out our standard models and some of our custom pavilion designs on our website here: Timber Frame Pavilions.
