TimberHomes sent two classic kiosks out to Eagle Rock Ranch this year, in the South Park National Heritage Area, in Jefferson, Colorado. We were happy to get to work with the ranchers, David and Jean Gottenburg, who installed these two kiosks themselves, and seem to do everything else on the ranch as well. The kiosks hold maps for tourists who come to Eagle Rock to experience “world class fly fishing on a working ranch” – Check out the beautiful artistry in the map in the photos below.
Working with the Gottenburgs was a delight, and getting to understand a little about what they are working on was inspiring. This article describes their efforts run their ranch in a way that encourages the local elk populations’ vitality, and to generally take good care of a beautiful piece of this earth, that has sustained cattle populations alongside the ‘wild’ world now for 150 years. It’s worth a read.
Our kiosks are designed for longevity, and built with durable, naturally sourced materials. We love working with folks like those at Eagle Rock Ranch, who are taking the long view, and doing their best to build something that lasts.
