The TimberHomes Community Projects scope recently decided upon our annual giving. Since 2020 TimberHomes Vermont has pledged to give 1% of our revenue away each year. This giving began as an initiative to give “1% for the planet” by donating money towards climate justice organizations. In recent years, we’ve expanded our mission to include social justice organizations, housing initiatives, and supporting other worker-owned cooperatives. This year we gave a total of $18k to 12 organizations working locally and nationally in fields including disaster relief, housing justice, rural LGBTQ+ support, and more:
