Class of 1974 Bunkhouse
Motivated by the success of the Class of 1984’s Crew Cabin project, several members of the Class of 1974 led by Jim “Porkroll” Taylor decided that their alumni class would celebrate its 40th anniversary with a reunion work-week, and the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge would get a trend-setting bunkhouse. TimberHomes was closely involved in the design work to develop a frame that could be cut by volunteers. We served as instructors and supervisors, and this alumni class, plus a few more recent grads (and a few Dartmouth elders) did the heavy lifting of cutting joinery and raising a timber frame. We worked closely with the class over the fall and spring to complete walls and roof, and building interior partitions, bunks and cabinetry.
