Helen began working at TimberHomes in 2011, and joined the partnership in 2018. We met Helen when we built a home for a couple in Lyme, NH. As a friend of the owners of the house, she was hired on to help with construction and to learn the basics of timber framing. During this project, Helen’s excellency at all things (but most relevant to us, in building timber frames and baking) became evident and while she tried to leave several times to pursue other fields, we have thankfully lured her back with our charm and worker-ownership business model. Helen splits her time between work, where she runs the shop floor, writes budgets, and works through the complications of our unusual management structure, and spending time with her daughter Ophelia.
